News Article – Guardian Liberty Voice

I wrote this article while going through an intense two-week writers’ bootcamp for Guardian Liberty Voice, during the month of June in 2014.

Result: I wrote and edited articles for an online newspaper, and learned how to engage readers through stories related to technology and entertainment.

News Article – Univision San Diego (Spanish)

This is one of the articles that I wrote while interning at Entravision Communications during the Fall semester of 2013. In addition this article was published in social media sites.

Result: The articles updated the local community of San Diego of the latest news around the county and in the U.S.

Geena the Latina Blog  –  Channel 933

This is sample of a blog that I managed on a weekly basis as an intern at Channel 933, during the Spring semester of 2013. For this blog I created and updated content related to celebrity news and lifestyle. In addition to news and events for the radio host “Geena the Latina”. 

Result: The blogs updated the listeners on the latest entertainment news, as well as events going on locally, and the most popular television shows.

Podcast – “Mornings with Frankie and Geena,” at Channel 933

Podcasts created on the official Channel 933 website during my internship on Spring semester 2013. I created and updated online content for the podcasts with creative headlines and descriptions, along with editing the audio content using Adobe Audio.

Result: The podcasts allowed the public to go back and listen to the show’s bits on the official website.

Hootsuite Content Manager

Hootsuite content updates for Channel 933 internship, Spring semester 2013. I managed, scheduled, and posted new updates for radio show’s giveaways, and events on Facebook and Twitter via Hootsuite.

Result: Listeners were able to learn when and how to win the latest prizes announced on the radio morning show, as well as to find out of any events happening in San Diego.

Sigma Theta Psi – Website

Sorority website and Facebook page. As the webmaster of Sigma Theta Psi sorority in the academic year of 2012-2013, I managed the official chapter’s website and revamped it with a new look. I made weekly and monthly updates to the site by uploading new content and writing about the latest chapter news. In addition, I managed the chapter’s Facebook and Twitter, and created their Instagram profile.

Result: The sorority gained more popularity throughout the university and outside of campus due to its effective online presence. This was revealed mainly on Facebook insights.
